Largely resembling the original DW520 Baby-G timepiece, the new BGD525 boasts a semi-transparent case and band, as well as blue and pink accents on the face and a custom street-style inspired back engraving of the number 25. To package the anniversary model, the new watch will also come in a custom case of vivid pink and purple – nodding to the brand’s 90s heritage.
Baby-G was first launched in 1994 as the women’s alternative to the G-SHOCK watch. Also inspired by the ethos of “ultimate toughness””, the Baby-G models were re-designed to feature slimmer case sizes and a feminine aesthetic. An instant hit amongst the teenage community, the line solidified the rise of digital watches in women’s fashion.
